The Varden Hotel
We (Mom, Dad and 2 toddlers) stayed at the Varden over Thanksgiving 2008 and truly enjoyed it. It's close to many choices of restaurants, Nordstrom Rack, a Wal-Mart and is a nice walk to the Aquarium. It's an easy bus ride to the Queen Mary. There's mall shopping nearby and on and on.

The rooms are effectively laid out so even though they are not huge, they don't feel crammed. Now, with 4 people, it was a little tighter than we prefer, but we made due and were happy to because we really liked the place and the staff. It is at the outer edge of the good side of town (right next to the Sizzler restaurant!). We felt safe.
